Intergrated Learning (Wellington)

For the past two weeks we have been learning about Wellington at the moment I am learning about Parliament, yesterday we learnt about the courts in New Zealand. In most city there is a District court and from what I know there is only two High courts in New Zealand and they are in Christchurch and Wellington. There is also the court of appeal which is in Wellington and the highest court there is is also in Wellington and its called the supreme court, all cases start in the District court or the high court, cases never start in the court of appeal or the supreme court.

Dance

On Friday we had our first session of dance, and on Friday we were told who our dance partners were, I was put with Alyssa and Prasanaa. The two dances that we are learning are the Rock'n and roll reel and the waltz. Here is a link to the songs we are doing in our dances.

Maths week 1 term 4

WALT- I am learning to identify objects with rotational symmetry.

Term 3 Reflection

This term 3 things I have done well are... I competed in the Koru Games, in the Koru Games we came close to last but it was still fun to play, something else I have done well is adding some stuff into my national standards spreadsheet. The last thing I did well is

Koru Games 2015

Over the last 3 days I have been playing football I played for the B team and I played goalkeeper and RM (right mid fielder).

I really enjoyed playing in goalkeeper because it felt good when someone would smash the ball at me and I saved it.

Thinking back to the beginning of the year something I have improved on was when I'm in goalkeeper I've have learnt to rush when someone is coming at me with the ball at their feet.

Overall I found the Koru Games very fun because we got to play 7 games and we just had fun and also we got to watch all of the other yr 7/8 football teams play. And I can't wait until next year.

Maths week 6 term 3

WALT- Round numbers sensibly
I have been working on rounding numbers sensibly, as you can see below I took a screen shot on Ixl of rounding which is where it asks you what is $234 rounded to the $10 dollars and you have to work it out.
My next step is to solve number/decimal of a quantity.

Science week 6 term 3

WALT- Use what we know to identify the mystery powder.

Yesterday we did science with Mrs Stead and what we did was we had a sheet where we recorded what happened with each powder. Firstly we tested each powder by its appearance, in water to see if it was soluble or insoluble, we put in vinegar to see if it reacted, we also put it in red cabbage water, iodine and we also heated it. This is our work sheet.

Walt- Find the top 4 football/soccer teams from around the world from 5 different leagues over 2014-15

I'm doing it with Finn and the leagues we have chosen to do are Liga BBVA, Bundesliga, Barclays Premier League, Ligue 1 and Seria A. The things we are doing are pld,wins,losses,drawn,goals for, goals against, goal difference and pts. Mine and Finns predictions were that FC Barcelona would be the best football/soccer team in the world.
