This is my Reading assesment for Vocabulary.

Defintions
Void: an empty space or vacuum.

Fluorescent: able to give off visible light after being exposed to a source of heat, light, or other form of energy

Vulnerable: able to be hurt or injured

Interconnected: to connect or cause to be connected one to the other or others.

Seldom: not often; rarely.

Is a void messy? Why or why not?
No Because it is a empty space.
Which color is the most fluorescent at night? Why?
Yellow because it is a really bright colour.
Why are elderly people more vulnerable than children? Why?
Because elderly people’s bones are older and they can’t get away from danger in a hurry.
Which is more interconnected; a vine or a dandeloin? Why?
A vine because they can grow in all different directions.
Which is more seldom; the Olympics or an election in NZ? Why?
Olympics Because they are every 4 years and a election is every 3 years.

Extended Writing
Think of a time when you felt as though you were in a void or when you saw something that happens seldom. Write a paragraph about this.
Seldom: On Tuesday Jack W, Jack M, Finn and Myself were playing basketball at lunch time, and when I dribbled up the court I got just past halfway and then I threw the ball over my right shoulder and the ball hit the backboard and went in.

WALT - I can use appropriate skills and technologies to find and use a range of texts for specific purposes.



For my “Evaluating Leaders” research I have been researching about who is a better leader out of Barack Obama and Richie McCaw.


During this unit I have had to use a range of strategies to find the information I needed on Google. This includes:
Cross checking websites to see if they are legit, Linking different websites so people can see what website I got my information off.


I have achieved this goal because…
Because I was able to Complete my planning sheet.

My next step is to set a new reading goal.

Evaluating information

I have been learning about if we should change the NZ flag or not. I reckon that we should change the flag because it look's too much like the Australian Flag. Here are some reason's why I think we should change the Flag, The silver fern has been part of our history and identity for many year's. And another reason is the colour black on the new flag is represented as the national colour.

READING week 1 term 3

This week for reading it was the first session for the term and in our new groups, we had to do a few more sheets because it was part of the new setup. For this week we read about a proverb bandit who stole lots of random things.
